Coffee Culture
The Art of Mediterranean Coffee: From Bean to Cup

Coffee in the Mediterranean and Middle East has never been just a drink. It's a ritual passed hand to hand across generations — and it's the reason "Moka" is half our name.
Where Ritual Meets Craft
From the thick, foamy cup that comes off a Turkish cezve to a perfectly pulled Italian espresso, coffee culture across the Mediterranean is as varied as the region itself. What ties every tradition together is the same thing: care in the brewing, and the habit of slowing down long enough to actually taste it. That's the standard we hold every cup to, whether you're ordering a $3.50 espresso on your way out the door or settling in with a shared pot of chai.
Turkish and Arabic Coffee, Side by Side
Our Turkish Coffee ($5) is brewed the traditional way — finely ground coffee simmered slowly in a cezve until it forms a thick, foamy cap, unfiltered and intensely flavorful. Right next to it on the menu, our Arabic Coffee ($5) takes a different turn: it's infused with cardamom, giving it a warmer, more aromatic finish that's just as much about the aroma as the taste.
Modern Classics, Done Right
If your order runs closer to home, we pour a full espresso bar: a Double Espresso ($3.50), rich and bold in the Italian style; a Cappuccino ($4.95), espresso topped with steamed milk and frothy foam; a Latte ($5), smooth with just a touch of foam; a Caramel Latte ($5.50); and a Mocha ($6.50) for anyone who wants chocolate in the mix. Our Spanish Latte leans sweeter and creamier if that's more your style.
Chai, the Other Ritual
Our Chai Latte ($5.50) is black tea brewed with warming cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves, then steamed with milk for something sweet and comforting. The Dirty Chai (16 oz, $7.50) adds a shot of espresso to that same spice blend for a stronger kick. For the full traditional experience, we serve chai the way it's meant to be shared — in a Chai in a Clay Pot (12 oz, $5), or poured from a full Glass Pot (24 oz, $9.50) at the table.
The cezve doesn't just brew the coffee. It sets the pace of the conversation around it.
Beyond the Cup
Not every order calls for hot and slow. Our Nitro Coffee ($4.95) is cold brew infused with nitrogen for a smooth, creamy texture with no cream needed, and our Iced Pistachio Latte (16 oz, $7.95) has become one of our most-ordered drinks on a warm Livermore afternoon. On the tea side, Algerian Mint Tea ($4.50) — green tea steeped with fresh mint leaves — is poured for one or shared as Algerian Mint Tea for 3 ($12).
